‘Western alliance’ needs to build capacity moving forward
Bondi Partners Senior Advisor and Retired Major General Gus McLachlan says the western alliance needs to build capacity
Sky News Australia | August 31, 2022
Retired Major General Gus McLachlan says the western alliance needs to build capacity.
“We need Australian capacity to add to this global system,” Mr McLachlan told Sky News Australia.
“It’s going to be a case of what can Australia realistically do in that mix.
“Now, we won’t make joint-strike fighters, for example, but I think we probably can make smart missiles.”
Mr McLachlan says Australia will need to make it really hard for countries to approach and harm the higher region.
