Mark McGowan
Mark was the 30th premier of Western Australia, leading his state through the COVID-19 pandemic and overseeing economic success recording a balance sheet that was the envy of the country, if not the world. As leader he also spearheaded the establishment of Metronet, a multi-government agency responsible for managing generational extensions to Perth's rail network.
Mark has a long history of public service, beginning his career as a legal officer for the Royal Australian Navy, serving at naval base HMAS Stirling, south of Perth. He represented the district of Rockingham in the Western Australian parliament for more than 25 years and was appointed to various Cabinet roles including Tourism, Environment and State Development.
