Bondi Partners Senior Advisor Mick Mulvaney: Not the crime ‘but the cover up’ which could land Trump in trouble
Sky News Australia | June 12, 2023
It is usually not the crime but the “cover up” which lands a perpetrator in trouble as former US president Donald Trump faces 37 charges involving classified documents, says Former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney.
“Go back to the days of Richard Nixon and Watergate,” Mr Mulvaney told Sky News Australia.
“It wasn’t really the break-in that got Nixon kicked out of office or resigning, it was the cover-up for that – and that’s what this is.
“They’ve got him on obstruction of justice, of not giving back the documents when he should have.”
