Joe Biden still ‘aggrieved’ over not being Democrat candidate
Democrats relieved and reinvigorated with Harris candidacy
Sky News Australia | August 20, 2024
Former Australian ambassador to the U.S. Joe Hockey says Joe Biden is letting close confidants know he is still “aggrieved” about not being the Democratic candidate.
Vice President Kamala Harris will officially accept the Democratic nomination later this week, but the first day of the Democratic National Convention was dedicated to Biden, with several speakers taking turns to pay tribute.
“He went reluctantly, he is not happy about it and of course, he wants to protect his legacy,” Mr Hockey said.
