Freezing weather in Iowa ‘probably benefits’ Donald Trump
Emma Doyle's Iowa predictions
Sky News Australia | January 15, 2024
Former White House deputy chief of staff Emma Doyle says the formidable weather in Iowa “probably benefits” Donald Trump ahead of the caucuses.
“Over the years, his supporters have shown that they will wait for hours to see him in all kinds of weather,” Ms Doyle told Sky News Australia.
“He tends to run late and they sometimes will bear hot and cold auditoriums or outside in line for hours in line, but they keep showing up.
“I would expect to see more of the same in Iowa despite the weather.”
The mid-western state of Iowa will today become the first in the United States to cast a ballot, to decide the Republican nominee for President this coming November.
