Former Australian ambassador to the US Joe Hockey believes the assassination attempt on Donald Trump will make him a “better president”.

Former US president Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at his rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend.

“It’s going to make him a better person, a more tolerant person, a more sensitive person to division,” Mr Hockey told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
