Former Australian ambassador to the US Joe Hockey believes the assassination attempt on Donald Trump will make him a “better president”.
Former US president Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at his rally in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
“It’s going to make him a better person, a more tolerant person, a more sensitive person to division,” Mr Hockey told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I think it’s going to make him a better president to have survived such a shocking and horrible event.”
