Americans feel ‘saddened’ about Joe Biden’s decline: Hockey

Sky News US Politics Analyst and Bondi Partners Global President Joe Hockey said “80 per cent” of Democrats say US President Joe Biden “shouldn’t run again”.

“80 per cent of Democrat voters think Joe Biden shouldn’t run again,” Mr Hockey told Sky News host James Morrow.

“The overwhelming majority of Americans feel incredibly saddened about Joe Biden’s cognitive health issues.”

He said Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance has a “rags to riches” story which has a “direct appeal” to Americans.

“The fact is, who would’ve thought that somebody who grew up as a hillbilly would end up on the stage as a potential Vice-President of the United States,” Mr Hockey told Sky News host James Morrow.

“It really is a rags to riches story, and it’s a great story, and it’s got a direct appeal.”
